# Experimental Features

> Proximate includes experimental features that are still in development. Learn how to enable them and what's available.

Proximate includes a set of features that are still being refined. These are available for you to try, but they may change, be reworked, or be removed in future updates.

Experimental features are **off by default**. You won't see them in Settings or near your cursor until you opt in.

## Enabling Experimental Features

    Click the Proximate icon in the menu bar or taskbar, then click **Settings...**.

  <Step title="Go to the More tab">
    In the Settings sidebar, click **More**.

  <Step title="Enable the toggle">
    Turn on **"Preview new and experimental features"**.
  </Step>

Once enabled, new tabs will appear in Settings for each experimental feature, and experimental elements will become available in the [element order](/features/element-ordering) list.

  The experimental features toggle requires analytics consent to be enabled. If you've opted out of analytics, this toggle will not be available.

## What's Currently Experimental

| Feature                                      | What it does                                                |
| -------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| [System Stats](/experimental/system-stats)   | Live CPU and RAM usage displayed near your cursor.          |
| [Pixel Ruler](/experimental/pixel-ruler)     | Measure pixel distances between two points on screen.       |
| [Color Picker](/experimental/color-picker)   | Sample any color on screen and copy it in multiple formats. |
| [Window Magnet](/experimental/window-magnet) | Attach a window to your cursor so it follows your pointer.  |

Each of these features can also be activated via a [keyboard shortcut](/features/keyboard-shortcuts) (unbound by default).
