# Window Magnet

> Attach a window to your cursor so it follows your pointer around the screen.

<Warning>
  **This is an experimental feature.** To use it, enable **"Preview new and experimental features"** in Settings → More. [Learn more →](/experimental/overview)
</Warning>

Window Magnet lets you attach any window to your cursor so it follows your pointer as you move. This is useful for keeping a reference window — a chat, a preview, documentation — visible and within reach as you work across your screen.

## How to Use

1. **Activate Window Magnet** — Use your assigned [keyboard shortcut](/features/keyboard-shortcuts) (unbound by default) or activate it from the tray menu.
2. **Select a window** — Click on the window you want to attach.
3. **Choose an anchor point** — Pick where on the window the cursor attaches. There are 8 anchor positions: top-left, top-center, top-right, center-left, center-right, bottom-left, bottom-center, and bottom-right.
4. **The window now follows your cursor** — Move your mouse and the window tracks along with it.

To release the window, activate Window Magnet again or press the shortcut key.

<Note>
  On macOS, Window Magnet requires the **Accessibility** permission to move windows. See [Granting Permissions](/granting-macos-permissions) if you haven't enabled it yet.
