Hide from Screen Capture - Proximate

If you record your screen, share it during calls, or take screenshots regularly, you may not want Proximate’s overlay to appear in the capture. The Hide from Screen Capture setting makes Proximate’s cursor items invisible to all screen capture methods while keeping them visible to you on your display.

Enabling It

Go to Settings → General and toggle Hide from Screen Capture on. When enabled, Proximate’s overlay windows will appear as blank (invisible) areas in screenshots, screen recordings, and screen sharing sessions. You’ll still see everything on your physical display — only the captured output is affected.

This setting applies to all of Proximate’s cursor items at once. You cannot selectively hide individual elements from capture.
