Quit Proximate
Click the Proximate icon in the menu bar, then click Quit. If Proximate is set to launch at login, it will not restart after you complete these steps.

Delete the application
Open Finder → Applications, find Proximate, and drag it to the Trash (or right-click → Move to Trash).

Remove application data
Open Finder and press Cmd+Shift+G to open “Go to Folder.” Paste the following path and press Enter:Locate the Proximate folder and delete it. This contains your settings, cached icons, activity data, and update logs.To remove all remaining Proximate data, also delete the
.proximate-instance file in the same location if present.4
Remove from Privacy & Security (optional)
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Under Accessibility and Screen Recording, find Proximate in each list and remove it using the − button.

Empty the Trash
Right-click the Trash icon in the Dock and select Empty Trash to permanently delete the files.

Quit Proximate
Right-click the Proximate icon in the taskbar and select Quit.

Uninstall the application
Open Settings → Apps → Installed Apps, find Proximate, and click Uninstall. Follow the prompts to complete the removal. The uninstaller will delete most application data automatically.

Remove remaining data (optional)
The uninstaller does not remove all data. To fully clean up, open File Explorer and paste each path below in the address bar:
%APPDATA%— delete the.proximate-instancefile if present.%LOCALAPPDATA%— locate and delete the Proximate folder if present. This contains cached data.
Uninstalling Proximate does not cancel your subscription. If you have an active subscription, visit the billing portal to cancel it separately.
