When Proximate is running on your computer, you’ll see its “Cursor + Items” icon appear in your menu bar (macOS) or taskbar (Windows). The icon changes shape to indicate Proximate’s current state.

Active — items visible

Active — items hidden

Proximate menu bar icon: cursor pointing up with three empty squares The mouse pointer is pointing upwards and the three squares are empty. Proximate is activated, but on-screen items are currently hidden. Don’t forget — you’ve toggled visibility off.

Unlicensed

Proximate menu bar icon: cursor pointing down with crossed-out elements The icon looks “broken” — the mouse pointer arrow is pointing downwards at the elements and crossed out. Proximate is not licensed correctly on your computer. Either your free trial has ended or your license is no longer valid. To fix this, you may need to update the payment details on your billing method. See Manage Subscription for steps, or message us with the help widget in the bottom-right corner if you need assistance reactivating Proximate.
